  GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Beginning Pilates Mat
Basic Pilates principles of abdominal control, breathing, concentration, centering, precision, posture and basic body awareness.

Open Pilates Mat
For all Pilates students experienced enough to exercise body control. The pace is more dynamic than the Beginner level, and the emphasis is on fluidity of movement.

Power Pilates Mat
For the super-fit student looking for a challenge. This class emphasizes muscle control and strength using Pilates rings and weights.  Must have teacher evaluation before attending class.

Corefluid Fusion
Pilates infused transformational fitness experience that allows you to work from inside the body to out. Will give you washboard abs, a tighter behind and an amazingly well toned body.

Hatha Yoga
Achieve balance between body and mind, as well as access to the more subtle spiritual elements of the practice through physical poses or Asanas, Breathing Techniques or Pranayama, and Meditation.

Open Flow Yoga
Experience traditional yoga poses intertwined in heat building Sun Salutations.  A fitness style of yoga that will keep you moving while building strength and flexibility.

Beginner Yoga
An introduction to basic yoga poses incorporating Vinyasa style movement.  This class will get you moving while building incredible strength and flexibility. A great introduction to mind/body awareness.

PowerFlow Yoga
A quick moving series of traditional yoga poses set to upbeat music in a warm room.  Take your practice to the next level while building flexibility, strength, balance and stamina.  Must have a general knowledge of yoga poses.

Pilates and Body Rolling
This class will help participants free the lines of energy necessary to help master the fundamentals of Pilates exercises.  Areas of the spine that lack articulation and movement which limit core strength will be addressed.  This class will give you the necessary tools for unwinding and freeing the body to access deeper levels of core strength and stability.

Zumba®
Zumba® combines Latin rhythms with easy to follow dance moves that are good for any fitness level or age.  Fast and slow rhythms allow for a body-energizing and calorie-burning workout that is so much fun you won’t realize you are getting a workout!  Please wear Zumba® shoes or worn-down sneakers and bring water to class. 

Advanced Pilates Mat
This class is designed for students who have been practicing Pilates at an Intermediate level regularly and want to move their practice to the next level. Challenge yourself and build stamina with this vigorous workout. Students must have approval from an instructor to join the class.

Yoga for Stiffs
You don't need to be flexible to do yoga! Learn to balance your strength and flexibility in a fun, lighthearted atmosphere. It is the optimal class for anyone who is an athlete, or anyone who is interested in complementing their current level of physical activity. Increase your range of motion and decrease your risk of injury by learning how to use your muscles through your yoga practice. This class is open to all levels of students.
